You’re Invited to the IRC!
You’re warmly invited to join your S.L.A.A. fellows-in-recovery at the 2026 International Recovery Convention (IRC) from August 21-23, 2026 – an extended weekend full of recovery workshops, twelve-step meetings, fellowship activities, and more! It’s a unique opportunity to connect with others from around the world who are walking the same path—learning, growing, and supporting one another in recovery.
You can participate in whatever way feels right for you:
- In person in Baltimore, Maryland, USA
- In person in Castletown, County Laois, Ireland
- Virtually from home
No matter how you show up, you are welcome.
Recovery is often described as a series of small actions, so here are some you can take right away:
- Attend and/or Volunteer (sign up when you register!)
- Present a Workshop
- Apply to be a featured speaker
- Request financial aid to attend
Everyone can find fuel for their recovery at the IRC. You don’t need years of recovery. Whether you have five months, five years, or five decades, your presence matters. Your honesty, your willingness, your story – these are powerful gifts. Newcomers inspire, and seasoned members give back through connection, support, and service. Please share this email with your sponsor, sponsees, home group meetings, and recovery fellows.

P.S. We will also celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous fellowship, honoring five decades of fellowship with presentations from across S.L.A.A.’s storied history!
To help with planning, here are some financial and logistics planning tips.
The registration fee for virtual attendees is $175 USD (approx. 150 Euro) with financial aid available for those with need.
Most speakers and workshops will be recorded (audio) and made available to attendees for free (or a 7th tradition donation of your choosing.)
After registering, attendees can access a forum where members may connect directly with one another to explore potential roommate arrangements. The IRC planning team does not coordinate or manage roommate matching; the forum is provided solely as a space for members to exchange information.

YOU MUST BOOK YOUR LODGING SEPARATELY from Convention Registration. Note: When choosing your lodging dates, be sure to include the check out day with the provided selectors.
Note: The Conference Fantasy Committee will hold a pre-workshop from 9am to 6pm on Thursday, 20 Aug 2026. Please consider this when booking travel if you plan on joining. The cost for participation is $75.
The Baltimore site activities will begin at 12 noon (local time) on Friday, 21 August 2026. For those arriving early, there will be pre-convention opportunities.
The hotel’s per-night rate is $149 plus tax for single and double rooms. The convention registration fee is $375 with rates as low as $300 for those with financial need.
The Baltimore fee includes the following meals:
- Opening Plenary Lunch (Fri)
- Opening Reception (Fri)
- Lunch (Sat)
- 50th Anniversary Banquet (Sat)
- Farewell Luncheon (Sun)
- Hotel guests also receive breakfast.
Friday night activities and dinner are pay-on-your-own.
Castletown, Ireland

All rates are Euro and times IST (Irish Summer Time).
The Castletown site activities will begin at 12 noon (local time) on Friday, 21 August 2026. For those arriving early, there will be pre-convention opportunities.
S.L.A.A. Ireland will provide round-trip shuttle service from Dublin Airport to Castletown for €70 per person. Conference registration averages ~€300 with a sliding scale from €250 to €350.
The Castletown registration fee includes the following meals:

The International Recovery Convention is co-sponsored by the Greater Delaware Valley Intergroup (GDVI) USA and the S.L.A.A. Ireland Intergroup. Participants may join in-person in Baltimore, Maryland, USA or at the DeLaSalle Brothers’ Retreat Center in Castletown, County Laois, Ireland.
Participants who cannot join an in-person colocation may participate via Zoom.
